Family O’ Fish was started by Tyler and Michelle Smith in Fountain, CO. We were looking for a creative way to express ourselves as Christians, and after seeing the widespread popularity of the family stick figures on the backs of cars, our idea was born!

Being a Christian, to us, means more than just plastering an icthus with hair on the back of our cars, though. God calls us to be “fishers of men” (Mark 1:17), and the Christian fish on the backs of our cars serves as a constant reminder that we are to do just that. We are not meant to go through this life alone; we need to surround ourselves with positive, God-fearing believers who can help us with this everlasting charge. A while ago, we (Tyler and I) were talking about how far life seems to have gone away from what God has called us to do, and that it couldn’t get much worse from here. Well, it has! So, we need to ban together as Christians and become “fishers of men” to try to make a change in this rapidly deteriorating world!

After working for other people our whole lives (Michelle as an 8th grade Language Arts teacher and Tyler as an assistant to a man who owned his own business), we have decided that we only want to work for one person; God. So, we began the tedious journey of starting our own business. After making several sacrifices, trusting fully in God, and a great deal of hard work, we are so proud of the final product.
